I’ve eaten in the restaurant twice before they raised their price, it’s a flat fee omakase sushi restaurant and ordered to go twice. Both times in the restaurant and the first time eating take out it was fine. It’s very expensive, but the food and the experience are amazing, though I think they’ve priced themselves out of what I am comfortable paying for a meal.
Both experiences in the restaurant I could see them preparing my food and they did a great job to avoid cross contamination. I had no issues AND I got to have everything that everyone else in the restaurant was having.
This past visit was a takeout order. I specifically asked for the meals to be made gluten free, which I know they can do. However, I was extremely symptomatic, so I am pretty sure they didn’t read the instructions. I think that they genuinely want to serve GF food and I believe it was an oversight on their part, I really do not care to pay that much for food that’s going to make me sick.
