I got the gluten free brownie, banana bread, and Mac and cheese. The brownie was very gooey (I prefer chewie) so it was ok. The banana bread was delicious! The Mac and cheese was not very good compared to others I've had. Love that there were all these options though!

This is my favorite cafe! It’s a place where the chef recognizes you and even remembers your food allergies. You feel like you’re given extra special service. The food and ambience are amazing. Everything is vegan, several items are gluten free or can be made gluten free and I also have soy allergies and the chef lets me know what I can have based on my allergies. Check out her Thanksgiving and Christmas packages - you’ll never cook again on big holidays.

I’m gluten-free as well as vegan which is wicked tricky when dining out. Kahiau’s is my go-to place. I’ve been going since day 1 and Victoria and her all female staff are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to accommodate dietary restrictions. Food goes fast due to popularity so it’s always a safe bet to call ahead; they’ll even save your GF food until you can get there. My favorites are the GF Buffalo Mac, Ckik’n Salad, Chili, and a special breakfast treat. Need something for a get together? Order ahead! I went on a business trip with GF Shepherds Pie in tow!
I have been in this restaurant 3 times and only one time did they have gluten free options. The prices were very high for the cookies (which was the only thing they had GF at the time).
Counter service dining. They had 3 kinds of vegan Mac n cheese (made without dairy cheese). I had the chili Mac n cheese. It was quite good. They had 3 GF salads as well as lemon squares and blueberry crumb squares. I will return.
