The name is actually Kanpai Japanese Restaurant and Sushi. The side of the building says Sushi Kanpai. The website is kanpaisprings.com.
We went for lunch. They have tamari / gluten free soy sauce. They don’t have a gluten free menu, but anything that isn’t fried or crab or eel or teriyaki can be gluten free.
They have lunch specials but also have all you can eat. We got all you can eat.
The food is tasty and filling. I didn’t eat them out of house and home.
The Hawaii roll has cashew and mango. It was great. I was surprised how well mango went with sushi. I haven’t had that combo before.
The mackerel nigiri was very good. It has a slight lemon or lime flavor. I loved it. They have a nigiri called a scallop flower. They took rice, wrapped a slice of fish around it and put a scallop on top. It looked cool and was delicious.
They have a kids menu and a kids all you can eat.
They only had two handrolls that were gluten free. I love hand rolls so that was my only disappointment.
