Beautiful restaurant with so much choice! The lady even warned my partner the beer wasn’t GF (not a problem as it’s only me who’s coeliac - but thought it was very good of them)

I also have a lactose allergy and managed to have a pudding as well! So I’m very happy!

super tasty goulash soup , then we ordered steak and potatoes , and salmon with risotto , and omg it was so tasty ! was a very happy coeliac after eating there

Absolutely the best food that I had in Budapest, definitely. Really tasty goulash soup, approachable way to have an experience of traditional Hungarian cuisine. Kind staff, it’s better to make a reservation before coming. Amazing lemonade (classic and raspberry one). Prices are reasonable for Budapest.

If you are ever in Budapest, you must go to this restaurant. It is entirely gluten-free. They have a gluten-free beer and the best Hungarian goulash you will ever taste. I had the chicken paprikash and my husband had the pork knuckle and both were the best we have ever tasted. Portions are a nice size. For desert I had chocolate mousse accompanied by a delicious macaroon and my husband had a Hungarian poppyseed rice pudding. Both were absolutely outstanding. Prices are reasonable and the service was fantastic. You will not be disappointed! You must make a reservation as they are so busy.

My partner and I ate here twice during our stay in Budapest! The food quality is great and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Across both meals we had a chicken dish, the special pork dish and then a beef and a chicken burger. It was really nice to not have to worry about any cross contamination or having to filter through a menu. There’s a good amount of options and the food was really yummy, hence we came back! My partner (who isn’t a coeliac) really enjoyed the food too and said he wouldn’t know the difference. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Good food but terribly long wait for it! I suspect the kitchen was understaffed. I enjoyed my chicken schnitzel, my husband liked the chicken paprikash. My gluten-eating boys didn’t love the burgers but they are used to normal bread.

I was so excited to try this restaurant, but I did not get what I expected.. I do not recommend the burger, the coleslow was warm, the steak potatoes were not really stake potatoes, and the meet inside was very poor quality.. :( I am sorry to say it, but I got sick, becouse the ingridients were not fresh (and I am very sensitive to that). My friend enjoyed his gulash and “hús lecsóval és dödöllével”, he has no sensitivities.

Amazing meal here! The restaurant itself is lovely and has a really nice vibe to it. The staff were friendly. The whole menu is GF so completely Coeliac safe, and food was really tasty. I was with a group of 8 people (most of whom aren’t GF) and they all said it was one of the top meals of the holiday. The menu has so many great options it’s almost hard to decide what to order!

Great location on a quiet street close to the Opera.

We had the avocado appetizer (they were out of the pork terrine), tagliatelle and pork knuckle. All meals were delicious and better than other dedicated gf restaurants we tried on this trip.

Good cocktail and wine selection. The chocolate mousse was also delicious!

I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are gf or not. There is something for everyone.

After being told by my tour guide, who is based in Budapest ironically, that there was no specific gluten free eateries in Eastern Europe it was refreshing to find one less than 5 minutes walk from my hotel! Kata restaurant’s food menu is totally gluten free, I had a chicken schnitzel and cheese cake for dessert which is a blessing in a foreign country given how difficult it is for me personally to not only find gluten free food, but also to avoid cross contamination, I highly recommend anybody who is gluten intolerant to dine at this restaurant if they are in Budapest.

(Brownie was average but for GF wasn’t too bad, bit dry but it’s served with like a creme anglaise. The halloumi burger was mostly just a slab of halloumi, no veggie patty on there too).
