It’s worth winding your way through Blytheville to stop at this gem. The catfish is local and fresh with a GF crust and cooked in a dedicated fryer. Fried catfish is usually totally off limits so this is a treat! The crust is likely a mix of corn and rice. The hush puppies and fries are also GF. The fries are nothing to write home about, but the hush puppies are great. Next time we travel I-55 I’ll try substituting the fries with a couple more hush puppies. The appetizers (fried okra, fried tomatoes, etc) were not GF in August 2023 due to differences in batter content. Slight discount for paying in cash.

This is a rare gem! We don’t usually get mom and pop small town eats for our GF family! All 5 kids had fried catfish, fried green tomatoes and hush puppies! Not ONE of us had any issues!
So thankful for a slice of normal and some fried food on the road!
Owner was there and so sweet! We will be stopping again!

We happened to be traveling through Blytheville one evening and tried this restaurant on a whim. Wow! Just wow!They had a dedicated fryer for my order of catfish, fries and hush puppies and everything was fried to absolute perfection. I don’t believe I have ever had better fried catfish! I searched out the owner and gave her a big hug. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
