Symptomatic Celiac

I ordered online pick-up for lunch yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to leave a note about my Celiac Disease on the items. (My notes were even printed on the receipt.) I tried the medium-spiced green curry with chicken—phenomenal—and the green papaya salad, which was quite spicy but so good, I ate it all and have most of the curry leftover for lunch today. No reactions for me afterward and my partner said his crispy garlic chicken (not GF) was excellent too. We will definitely go back!

I came here to eat and was informed by the chef that the risk of cross contamination is too high for someone with celiac disease. Kitchen is also really tiny so I am not surprised. Disappointing, but really glad they take it serious enough to let me know!

I ordered the basil stir fry and a Thai iced tea and my partner had the phad Thai. I am also allergic to dairy and I have problems with msg, my partner is allergic to cashews and pistachios and I'm happy to report neither of us had any reactions!

I really liked that their menu clearly listed which foods were naturally gluten free and vegan and which could be made that way upon request. Their online ordering included check boxes to request gluten free and also had a box for other requests where I could put in my dairy allergy and my partner's nut allergy (several dishes have cashews).

The food was also delicious, mine was so flavorful and amazing. The Thai iced tea was terrific, you could actually taste the black tea used to make it! This is a huge win for trying to eat gluten free in Bremerton!!

Some of the best Thai food I’ve had, especially the pineapple fried rice.
