Got the crab. It was bad. Even a strong ammonia smell!

(Review from a local) Incredible experience. They have a separate gluten free menu and they are very careful about cross contamination. I felt great after eating here. It’s not the best seafood in St Aug, I also wish they had better GF options for the kids menu. My super sensitive celiac 5 yo had grilled shrimp and a steamed potato, no GF dessert option to sub for the kids menu ice cream sandwich. But overall we had a delicious and safe experience and would definitely go back!

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and the shrimp was fried. This is one of my go-to meals at restaurants and it always comes with grilled shrimp. Fried shrimp was not indicated on the menu. Then when I got the meal remade, it was flavorless. My husband , not GF, got the captains platter and he said it was just ok. He’s had better fish and chips at pizza joints. It was a disappointing experience all around.

My son was very recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and we went in for a table... due to COVID-19, they told my husband that they can not guarantee gluten free right now. Not very reassuring.

We ate here for late lunch. I had the GF Ribs, friends had GF Mahi sandwich. Both were good. My husband had the sampler(not GF), which he said he wouldn’t order again. Another friend had fried shrimp(not GF). She said, the shrimp were very good. Waiter said, the cooks take allergies serious.

Good burger. Separate menu, knowledgeable staff.

They are celiac aware and have a Gluten Free menu, but I'm not sure this place lives up to the hype. We had (GF) ribs which were not fall-off-the-bone, and barely warm, and the (GF) seared sesame tuna, which was room temp and had a fair amount of chewy elastic-ness to it. Both tasted.. ok.. but not the level the reviews on FMGF lead us to expect. The place itself is very nice, in a marina, with cool little outdoors spaces to have a meal or drink. The indoor bar looked very cozy as well. I'd recommend appetizers and drinks for the atmosphere.

They have a GF menu and the wait staff is very knowledgeable about allergies. I am also allergic to soy and they made sure my food was allergy free!

Returned and was very pleased with my dinner. My waiter was knowledgeable and accommodating with my allergies. I will return on my next visit to St. Augustine.

Just went for my mother’s birthday. Seriously had the best dinner (blackened grouper, chef’s potatoes and coleslaw). It was perfectly cooked. Absolutely delicious and our server was extremely helpful!

We dined here tonight. I had the crab legs. They were good and I wasn’t worried about c/c. My family enjoyed their food, but the restaurant is overpriced IMO. They didn’t offer any appeasing options for my 5 yo Celiac kid...only grilled seafood. They have gf buns, which we didn’t try, but they do not have a dedicated fryer. When trying to find something for my gf kid, I asked for a scoop of ice cream and they told me their vanilla ice cream wasn’t gluten free.

Great specific gluten free menu- my son had a blackened fish sandwich on a gf bun with sides and he said it was very good. Everyone else's food was great too in a nice waterfront location.

Stopped here for lunch on our vacation. Was pleased to see they had a separate gluten free menu. I chose the blackened Mahi sandwich. Yes, they had a gluten free roll. This was one of the best meals that I have had in a long time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

my experience with Kingfish was excellent. I have MANY serious allergies, with gluten being only one. eating anywhere is difficult. The staff was warm and inviting, even though we showed up last minute before closing. our server went back and forth between the kitchen and our table to insure no allergens touched my food. everything was Delicious and delivered with a smile. after dinner, the chef came to check our satisfaction personally and took it upon himself to be educated on some of my more unique allergies. I do not live near Florida, but If i did, Kingfish would be a daily.

Manager came to check everything before and after our meal was prepared. Accommodations were made for my dairy allergy as well. Mussels were amazing and the captains platter was good. Excited to have good food and eat safely!
