Kite & Key Cafe on Franklin

Super nice people. The server went back to check with the manager. Pancakes and things are made on a separate part of the grill but they were not sure about cross contamination. Since they didn’t mention any sort of cleaning/allergy protocol they could do, I passed on trying it. I inquired about having a fresh fruit bowl instead and they said the fruit is made in the same area as toast. She circled back and said she could cut something up without letting it touch anything so I had some bananas and strawberries. I really appreciated them being so honest. This is still a cute place to grab coffee though!

I asked if there was pancake batter in the eggs. The new server said no, but I asked him to check. I ordered an omlet and I am clearly glutened 20 minutes later. Nothing you can't easily make at home anyway.

Nothing fancy, cute little place. No gluten free menu, but plenty of egg options.
