Finally, a GF-friendly sushi place! The combo boxes are such a treat. I loved the poke the best - it had a lot of interesting flavour tones.

Everything is gluten free and made with sustainable Ocean Wise Seafood: right now, they specialize in Laos dishes, poke and sushi. We ordered the Father’s Day sushi platter which include 4 surprise sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri; we also added an additional order of salmon tempura. Everything smelled delicious and we were so excited to have gluten free deep fried goodies and GF soy sauce automatically added!

The sushi was definitely tasty with a gorgeous presentation but the the rolls were not to our taste. They were creamy rolls (ex. crab mix + cream cheese) so the whole mouth feel was mushy. The sashimi and nigiri was excellent though, and the salmon tempura was to die for!

We’ll definitely be coming back and likely won’t be ordering the sushi again but look forward to trying the Lao or Poke boxes cause Knife and Pestle are definitely doing something amazing with flavours!
