Koto is one of the few places I can eat out in Albany, as I have multiple food restrictions including all grains, dairy, soy and nightshades. The staff is super friendly and they are always able to make me steamed veggies and simply grilled shrimp or steak without soy oil. They have a huge menu and are very accommodating if you just ask! Plus the atmosphere is great, and it's hands down the best sushi in Albany!
I've frequently enjoyed sushi, hibachi and fried rice here. They offer gluten free soy sauce. The food is always great. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the hibachi chefs have focused so much on the show a few times that they contaminated my food with gluten. I watch carefully, and when I point out what happened, they remake my food in the kitchen. I've never gotten sick, and the food is so good that I'm willing to make the effort.
