Kres Chophouse

Kres Chophouse is one of the best upscale restaurants in Downtown Orlando. Business casual is the dress code for this restaurant. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We had the Roasted “Maple Leaf” Half Duck and The New York Strip 16oz. Both dishes came with veggies. The waiter was so nice and gave us a complimentary birthday dessert which was a gluten-free Crème Brûlée. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

— Excellent

TERRIBLE. The waitress was beyond rude to me about my allergy and messed up my order with the regular and not gluten free and then got mad when I said it was wrong and i’m extremely allergic and no apology was given. To top all of this off she left mid dinner after swearing from frustration and went home.

This is some of the best customer service I’ve encountered in regards to gluten. Server understood the menu and walked me through everything I could eat when he served the table.

The waiter did an excellent job. There is not a designated gluten free menu but everything could be accommodated. I have celiac so am very sensitive. My dinner was wonderful and no issues. Could not have had a better experience!

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Was one of the worst experiences I've had. When asking about GF options, I was told in a very sarcastic manner that they do have GF options, "it's called salads!" Accepting that I would have a salad, I asked to make sure the dressings, etc, were GF. After a "trust me" response, my salad came back with two pieces of toasted bread on top. I pointed it out, and the waiter sarcastically said "what, you can't even touch it to take it off?!" Do yourself a favor - go somewhere else.

Kres restaurant did not have a gluten free menu but there was awareness of GF and Celiac needs. The chef did not offer any menu modifications for the GF customer so it was definitely a throwback to the you can have a plain steak and a baked potato with vegetables sautéed in olive oil kind of meal (literally). The seafoods were also largely GF but the sauces for them were not. If you need to eat here and have Celiac, you can do so without fear but I wouldn't rate this as "friendly" to GF diners.
