I’ve eaten here several times with no issues. Just don’t order the obvious sides that you know aren’t GF.

Everything on the menu but the sausage and the mac and cheese is GF! And delicious!

Symptomatic Celiac

Overall Rating

Review

Before being diagnosed with celiac I loved Kreuz Market. I visited again recently and saw that a few years back there were posts about most their meat being gluten free. I asked when I got there, and all their meat is gluten free except for the sausage. Inside it is set up as a meat room, then another room for sides, so the only cross-contamination would’ve been from the sausage. I mentioned it at the counter, and they seemed confident and changed gloves, but they cut all the meat on the same table. I ordered the brisket (the best brisket ever in my opinion), and they cut it on the same table and I couldn’t get a good enough look if they used a different knife, but i’m not sure they did. When they put it on the scale, they did try to put it to the side, but they didn’t lay a paper down. I feel like this was very risky for cross-contamination, but to me and knowing my potential reactions, I was willingly to risk a reaction because I knew how good the brisket was. I didn’t risk it with any sides, but they do sell sealed lays chips. I surprisingly didn’t have any reaction, but if I went back several times in a row, I’m sure I would. If you’re willing to risk it, I would specifically ask them to change gloves, clean the knife, and lay paper down on the scale before weighing. Their food is amazing, but if you don’t know how good it is, I would suggest just doing some chips and a soft drink here.

One of favorite BBQ place & a must stop when in the area. I keep it to brisket (fatty), potato chips, & bring my own GF bread. Be sure to tell them not to put white bread on top of your pile of meat if get your BBQ for dining in.

All meats are still gluten free except for sausage. You purchase the sides at another counter , they are very minimal and I wasn’t sure if the servers were truly knowledgable about gluten so we passed and just had a meat fest, which was delicious.

All meats gluten free except sausage. Sides confirmed gluten free are chips and green beans, but typically don't get sides anyway - takes up space that brisket could be filling.
