L & L Hawaiian Barbecue

Changing my previous review. Walk into the rest room, as a member of the kitchen staff was leaving. She did not washed her hands! Even though their food is good & they have a gf menu, apparently their hygiene habits are severely lacking. We will NOT be returning.

L & L has the best Hawaiian comfort food! The Kalua Pork plate (all rice), Loco Moco (all rice and no gravy), burger patties and katsu sauce are all gluten free. The family who owns and operates the restaurant are so sweet and helpful making sure we have options. We go often and never get sick.

It pains me to lose a regular stop on the road when visiting Hawaii. Unfortunately the cross contamination is too much of a risk here. The meats are marinated in soy, no safe items.. don’t risk it... I’ve been sick the last 3 days of vacation.
