Review of La Costa Restaurant

I went here for a late lunch today and it was by far one of my worst dining experiences EVER! when we entered the restaurant I asked if they had a Gluten free menu and they said yes. we were seated and I was handed a regular menu with no explanation. After 10 minutes our waitress took our drink order and it took her another 10 minutes before she returned with the drinks. I asked if the chips were gluten free and I was assured they were safe. I then asked if they were fried in a dedicated fried and was told no. I was told that they were fried in the same oil as everything else. I ordered the chicken fajitas and was very specific about not being able to have anything with gluten. When they brought my meal out they brought me flour tortillas. I told my waitress I couldn't eat them and she was perplexed. They replaced them with corn tortillas. Multiple staff that I interacted with didn't seem to know the first thing about gluten free food. I'm lucky I kept asking enough questions or thus meal would have made me very sick!
