When I asked about their gluten free options, the server asked the manager or cook.
She came back to tell me that everything was gluten free except the rice and bread. I already knew that was inaccurate since they serve chicken tenders, falafel and other breaded items.
When I said I would like to know specifically if the grilled chicken kabobs do not have gluten mixed in the marinade, they said it is gluten free. So I went ahead and ordered the lunch without rice and plain veggies only. She said, you can have fries too if you wanted. (I knew they were probably not fried in their own dedicated dryer)
The meal was brought out with kabobs on the rice. I said I’m sorry, I can’t have the rice and we need to make the chicken again since it was contaminated. I am thankful I didn’t get sick afterward. But I realized that they weren’t very careful when it comes to people with celiac disease.
