1) read in another review that the red(ish) chips that come out gratis aren't GF. Didn't ask, didn't try them. Husband did and said they were good. 2) no problems whatsoever. Had dinner (tacos) and drinks and my tummy was good. 3) food is typical price and quality of Southside flats. Inside has interesting view of the bridge as it looks like the cars on en route to inside the restaurant. 4) 3pts/dollar for southwest dining rewards for anyone into that.

Overall underwhelming experience. Food was incredibly bland. Shared fryer. Inattentive server. Out of one of the sides that came with my meal and they weren’t going to replace it with anything until I asked. Server didn’t even ask us for a drink order. Ordered the gf quesadilla; what came out were three tacos. I could’ve just ordered the tacos and saved money. Sorry for the negative review, but even my husband who is a human garbage disposal without any food allergies was totally disappointed and he is not picky whatsoever!

La Palapa is incredible! The food is amazing and everything is marked clearly on the menu! Also, the flan is not marked but the server told me it was gluten free and I did not get sick! Note: they bring out these orange colored crisps with hot sauce and those are NOT gf, the tortilla chips are though.

Gluten free menu items are labeled. Corn and flour tortillas available for quesadillas. Delicious enchiladas, corn chips and fresh salsa. Not sure about safety for celiac.
