My wife, who has Celiac, got very sick after eating here (buckled over that night and felt off for days). Probably the worst I have ever seen her “glutened” in the decade she has been following a gluten free diet. I would definitely not recommend anyone with Celiac or gluten sensitivity visit La Stalla.

We’d avoided La Stalla since my diagnosis because I assumed Italian wouldn’t be safe. I was so wrong!

They can make 90% of the menu gluten free. The wait staff is so knowledgeable about celiac and they take cross-contamination seriously.

Went here with my family from the area over the holidays. I called ahead to see what precautions they take and was told they use separate cookware for GF and would pan fry anything because there is a shared fryer. I made sure to tell the server about my need for truly GF due to Celiac. I had a delicious chicken dish (GF Monte Rosa) that I finished along with some excellent wine and a GF Creme brûlée. Will be back again!

I have Celiac and have never had any issues with contamination here. Their gf calamari is better than the breaded stuff, and most pasta dishes can be made with gf pasta. Their Caesar salad is awesome. Actually all their food is great, and although sometimes loud, the interior is extraordinarily authentic. I’m EXTREMELY sensitive to even tiny amounts of gluten (I’m celiac and also highly allergic), and I’ve never gotten poisoned there. I’ve eaten there at least 30 times over the years. I wish they'd offer gf bread because it sucks to watch the rest of my family eat the delicious oil they serve.

I tried this based on internet reviews and did not get sick. Tried grilled halibut, caesar salad and risotto. I'm gluten intolerant, not Celiac.

Restaurant boasts a clearly marked menu, but knowledge of cross-contamination and what gluten is was non-existent. From comments about milk products being gluten to general annoyance that I asked about cc, I guessed that eating there was risky. However, when I asked if the gf pasta was dropped (cooked) in the same water that they cook everyone else’s regular pasta, I was told yes because the high temperature kills gluten. Oh boy! I stuck with a side salad and was disappointed but fine. This restaurant is capitalizing on fad diets at the expense of those who need a gf diet to live.

This place has good food, I've had it before before being diagnosed with Celiac disease. Unfortunately, this place is not safe for people who HAVE TO eat GF. I brought my Nima Sensor to test the Mushroom Risotto and it came back positive for Gluten. Celiacs beware.

Had a party here for 14 people...3 of which have Celiac disease. Spoke with Mark who helped plan a delicious all gluten free menu for the entire table. Our server was also knowledgeable regarding Celiac disease. Our non gluten free guests would have never known that our entire meal was gluten free!
