Lancaster Cupcake

Lancaster Cupcake is located in the heart of Downtown Lancaster! I’ve eaten cupcakes at this location for years and have never been disappointed until I ordered a gluten free cake for my birthday. The staff member that filled my order accidentally sent me away with a non-gluten free version of my birthday cake- unfortunately I did not catch on to this mistake until I was a few bites in to eating my slice of cake. Once caught that the cake I received was not gluten free, I called them immediately. While the staff were very apologetic and refunded my money; I’m sure as fellow celiacs know it’s extremely disappointing to have a gluten episode occur because of all of the symptoms that shortly follow. While I’m not giving Lancaster Cupcake a low-star review due to this one incident, I want to make sure other consumers know to always double, triple check, items that you are picking up from Lancaster Cupcake because mistakes can happen. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if Lancaster Cupcake trained their staff members on the importance of double and triple checking the items they are packing out to customers.

The best gluten-free, vegan cupcakes I have ever had!!!! And my Celiac daughter did not get sick. Woohoo!!!

Best chocolate gf vegan cupcake I’ve ever had!!! The frosting was so light and creamy! It was not overly sweet, which I really liked! I tried the cookies and cream and the peanut butter. Looks like I can order them online and have them shipped as well!!! I would certainly do that for special occasions. Nothing like it where I live!

GF vegan cookies n cream cupcake is the best. I personally like icing on their vegan cupcakes better because it is lighter. Always has few different gluten free options. Cupcake split with ice cream is amazing!!

We ordered a gf/vegan chocolate cake with white icing. Considering that we ordered the Mother’s Day cake the MORNING of, and it was still ready to be picked up just after opening...pretty good. They have a cookies and cream and pb/choc cupcakes we will eventually try. These are great for what they are, but like most gf/v things there is a ton of sugar so prepare yourself lol. Good crumb to the cake, nice dense chocolate. Great for an occasional treat or special occasion.

Absolutely love their GF chocolate cupcakes and the GF lemon ones are pretty good (not exactly my cup of tea to start with). I wish they had more options, the GF and vegan ones sell out FAST!
