L'Arena del Gelato

Owner very friendly, the option to try the flavours before you buy is great. I was quite disappointed on my visit - a member of our group really recommended the black cherry flavour so I went with that and the chocolate fondant. However, there is a flavour of ice cream at this venue which isn't gluten free called strawberry cheesecake, stored right above the black cherry.

I could visibly see all of the cheesecake pieces messily scattered across the top of the strawberry cheesecake tray and how close the trays were together so when i realised I instantly panicked and asked the staff if they would be able to get my scoop from the bottom which was untouched to which I got a reply of "its ok I will use a clean scoop" (I did make sure to mention I was coeliac firstly to get the importance across)

my ice cream was actually taken from the back right next to the cheesecake (gluten) one and although I'm symptomatic I don't always feel it right away (sometimes an hour sometimes the next day) and because I have symptoms of other conditions right now it was difficult to tell if this was safe or not. Just something to keep in mind, to maybe avoid any flavours near the strawberry cheesecake and make sure you show the coeliac allergen card from online (with translations) if you do visit here, to make sure there's no language barrier as this is something which I forgot to do.

Smal gelateria with GF sélection of ice creams and lactose free ice creams & cornetos. Owner on place explain the proces of production. Really nice & teasty!
