Food was delicious! They confirmed the kitchen prepares the gluten free meals in a separate spot to avoid cross-contamination. Fryer only cooks fries and they had clearly marked GF items on the menu. We had the chicken with cheese sauce and mushrooms, burger with a locally baked GF bun and frites with yummy mayos. Totally recommend!

Always had a great experience there, awesome tasty GF burgers and options! I’m not celiac and can’t confirm to what point they are serious about cross contamination, but I’ve never been sick.

Disaster experience! The menu has GF items marked, including burger buns. I asked about the contents of the veggie burgers. Server went to check and came back saying the kitchen didn’t know bc they come from a package and threw out the package. Said however the rest of the burger menu is confirmed GF. I ordered the salmon burger after confirming that it was literally just a piece of salmon (not breaded, marinated etc) and requested to tell kitchen strict GF for Celiac. Ordered side salad marked and confirmed with server to be GF. She read back my order as Cesar salad which is not marked GF and has croutons. When my food arrived I asked about the sauce on the salmon as it had what looked/smelled like soy. She checked with the kitchen and came back saying they don’t know the ingredients in it because they didn’t have the package for the salmon burger either. (So definitely NOT confirmed GF as she had told me earlier.) I ended up just eating the salad without dressing, and found after a few bites that there was an dried herb blend so I stopped out of an abundance of caution. Will see if I get sick. I see others have had great experiences here so hopefully this was just an off night or new and inexperienced staff. FYI for vegetarians - the fries are cooked in beef fat.

Amazing burgers and fries! All celiac friendly. There’s even gf poutine with gf beer and cheese sauce!

I was at the Spa Nordique for the day and checked the app for a GF restaurant or one with GF options nearby. Based on the reviews on here, I chose Le Foubrac.

Cute, little restaurant with a small selection of identified gluten-free menu options. They have a dedicated fryer so the fries are safe which is always a good thing :) They have a delicious gluten-free bun option with a separate toaster for their burgers.

I actually spoke with the chef and he was very well versed in Celiac Disease and avoiding cross contamination. He definitely set my concerns at ease. Our server, on the other hand, was lacking in her ability to answer questions or have any interest in checking/asking the chef. It might have been a language barrier issue; although I was more than happy to speak French. It just came off as being disinterested in serving me or wanting to be helpful. I would highly suggest asking to speak with the chef if you are not fluent in French and have questions because the food here is really good, safe, and it is evident that they take the appropriate precautions to ensure a safe meal. Would definitely recommend.

The fryer are gluten free since they dont cook anything else than fries in there. They offer a great gluten free bread made in Gatineau that you can chose with any hamburger. Its written on the main menu the gluten free option, which is the fries, the salade and hamburger (almost all of the menu). Staff is aware of intolerance and are super friendly.
