Le Oriental Bistro

I am always happy when I am provided a safe meal but unfortunately that is all I can say about this restaurant. My meal was gluten free. It was also very bland. No flavor. No sauce. Just steamed veggies, shrimp, and rice. They brought the sauce that was supposed to go on the food but I could not have. Then he looked at it and said oh wait dont eat that. Yet he left it on the table. The staff was very nice but it took two people to understand what I was asking for. The food took a long time to arrive. None of the sauces are gluten free. They are no longer able to make changes to the proteins because it is all pre prepped. I would not suggest eating here as a choice for a gluten free meal. My rating is 2 stars because my food was safe but the flavor was not worthy of 2 stars.

Don’t have a dedicated GF menu but with can make most unbattered or fried dishes GF by omitting the starch thickening. The food was great and no effects felt. We went in face to face over telephone ordering to ensure no miscommunication and the kitchen was advised to leave out any thickening- they could have done corn thickening but it seemed easier all round to leave all thickening out. It didn’t detract from the flavor of any of the 3 dishes ordered. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
