I ordered the mixed vegetable chicken with steamed rice made gluten free. The menu mentions that GF sauce is available so I imagine a number of other dishes could also be made GF. It wasn’t very flavorful, but I didn’t get sick.

I asked the waitress about 4 dishes on the menu I was thinking about and whether they were gluten free or could be made that way. She went to check with the chefs and said they all could except the satay. So I ordered orange chicken, and they brought it to me breaded. I asked her how the cooks had made the breading, she went to check and came back to say it actually had flour in it, “but no eggs”. We clarified to make sure it was “regular flour”, not rice flour or something similar, and she said regular flour. I explained gluten is in that and she said they could make me another dish that wasn’t breaded but that they’d be charging me for that second meal. We asked for a moment alone so we could decide what to do. We decided to box the meal up for my husband to eat tomorrow, and I ordered take out from another Thai place on the phone right there at the table. She came back, and we let her know we’d like to box the meal and I would eat somewhere else. She came back a minute later, took my plate and said “the cooks can make this for you unbreaded and it will be gluten free.” We got the new meal and it was tasty. The waitress came back to give us the check and apologized saying she had had no idea what gluten was when we had asked her to check with the cooks and had googled “what is gluten” in the back. This is a place I will be very careful with in the future but the food is admittedly very good, if you can get the right order.
The owner is great about modifying menu items and using gluten free soy sauce while cooking if requested. The soy sauce packets are gluten free, so ask for those. I usually rotate between the Pad Woon Sen, Pad See Ewe, Chop Suey and Mixed Vegetable Chicken... the Pad Soon Sen is my favorite! ask for steamed rice only and specify that it's gluten free. 😊
