THE GLUTEN FREE IS NOT ACTUALLY GLUTEN FREE I would give this place 0 stars if I could. As a celiac unable to eat gluten, I have enjoyed this place on many occasions. However, when I ordered a gluten-free crêpe this time around, I ended up getting quite sick (and will remain sick and in pain for the next few days) as the chef decided to cook the gluten-free crêpe with the regular non-gluten-free equipment. That defeats the whole purpose of having a gluten-free option because regardless of if you order a gluten-free item, if it is cooked on equipment where gluten-containing products are made, than that “gluten free” menu item is no longer gluten-free. Absolutely appalled and will never return. The manager and server both even tried to argue that it wasn’t their fault as I never specified it was a “very severe” allergy, but I never had to do this in the past as the establishment had made it explicitly clear that they had a separate prep area for ALL gluten-free orders (regardless of if it was a “very severe” allergy or not 🙄). Sounds to me like they were just trying to cover their ass for their mistake and laziness. It doesn’t matter if it’s just a dietary preference or an allergy, if somebody orders gluten-free and the establishment assures that it will be, than it should actually be such.
