Little Bird

We took the recos from this app seriously and stopped into Little Bird for dinner before a concert, and immediately impressed with the warm welcome, care for food allergies, and friendly hospitality team. Lovely little cider list, and had the best smashburger and fries I’ve had in years. Solid GF bun that didn’t fall apart. Incredible twice fried, golden crisp fries with magical garlic aioli. Was delighted to sit at the bar and enjoy chatting with the bartender and neighbors around us. Went back the next morning for breakfast, for another delightful meal. This will be on the list of MUST DOs anytime we’re in GR.

I visited Littlebird twice on a recent trip to Grand Rapids. Both times the food was excellent, the staff was kind, and I didn’t get sick! When I said I had celiac disease, the server immediately understood and explained which items on the menu were gluten free (already clearly marked) and which ones could be modified and how they would do that. They have a separate, gluten free-only fryer and have separate condiments for gluten free meals. They took great care with my order, and were very happy to answer all of my questions both times.

The staff mentioned having several celiac regulars, and it is clear that you have trained them well!

Really delicious food. GF bread and buns and a dedicated fryer. Waiter was very knowledgeable and happy to help. Great experience!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing food, great service. Servers are very aware of gluten sensitivities and one even has a gluten sensitivity. Most items on menu (brunch) can be made gluten free. Great coffee as well!

Delicious Breakfast food with plenty of options! The waiter was very knowledgeable, almost felt too casual, but you could tell everyone was well versed in allergy/celiac. The food was flavor explosion - definitely will be returning!
