I love the pesto at grano, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they offer gluten free , organic grass fed beef meatballs as a side order. I don’t eat tomatoes when I can avoid doing so and they offer a few tomatoe free options, & they always have at least one gluten free pasta on the menu. The spaghetti carbonara ( made with free range eggs) is my go to dish for eating in at Grano. I don’t drink alcohol, but many people I eat with do, I believe Grano is no longer BYOB, but to be certain, I’d call and ask. I’m also not sure about the location, I saw a sign on the outside of the “ pasta bar” location that appeared to be directing people to their location down the street, never fear, they’re less than 2 blocks apart. In the past when eating in at Grano pasta bar, which only had a few tables, you could watch your meal being prepared and be fairly certain of the level of safety precautions taken to prevent cross contamination. They offer all of their sauces ala carte in pint and some also in 1/2 pint sizes. As someone who generally avoids chain restaurants with rare exceptions , I’d suggest calling ahead to see if your particular food restrictions can be accommodated by a restaurant. Most owner operated , small , local restaurants are much more willing to do so , than a menu may first indicate. I’ve found this to be particularly true in Baltimore City’s many , mid economic range casual dining restaurants, even those with no dedicated gluten free menu, especially those situated in neighborhoods that see a lot of traffic related to cultural events held in close proximity to the restaurant’s location.

Nice to be able to eat an Italian meal at a restaurant, but pasta is just okay. I think the pasta I have at home is better. Sauce options are good though.

The pasta is just okay but the sauces are good. However, I have better gluten free noodles at home so I'll stick to making my own pasta and save money to boot.
