The first time I went and asked if the tortillas used for the fajitas were gluten free, the manager repeatedly said “they are corn tortillas” but never actually said they were GF. Sure enough, my fifth or sixth time there, I order the same dish and feel unwell fairly quick. I decide to ask about the tortillas again and was told by a different manager that the tortiallas are corn based but do contain flour as well. He was very apologetic and immediately brought me 100% corn tortillas for no additional charge but i’ve just been uneasy about going back ever since. After that incident, I started to notice just how small the kitchen is and how it would be nearly impossible to avoid cross-contamination. If you add staff that have a lack of understanding regarding menu items, the result may be a celiac nightmare.

However, the food is really good so seeing how there’s a mexican restaurant shortage in Richmond and you are someone who’s willing to take the chance of accidently exposure to gluten, it may be worth your time to try the food.
