We were looking for a last minute place to eat after a late arrival in Savannah. We stumbled across Lizzy's. We promptly sat at the bar and received excellent service. They do not have a gf menu, but offer GF bread that you can eat their sandwiches on. They also offered a number of sides that are gf. I ordered the classic grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. My sandwich was really good! I have a wheat allergy (not celiac), and so I did not ask questions about cross contamination.

We come here every year. Definite staffing issues. They were very slow this year and didn’t have the staff to open all the tables. But is seems to be a theme this year.
The fryer is not dedicated for the fries etc. and the staff is not knowledgeable but we’ve never had an issue. If your full celiac, be careful. There is a dedicated frier for the corn chips only which are GF. The buns for the burgers changed this year and they fell apart more. Still good otherwise. We got our annual totchos and burgers. This is our must stop on river street
For non-gf: some of the best fried foods on river street. Maybe the best fried shrimp, onion rings, and fried pickles in Savannah.

Service was really slow. They had a gluten free bun as the only option (per the server). Food was not that good and prices were high. Restaurant did not appear very clean.

Not a dedicated fryer. And so we left
The hostess and server were knowledgeable about which menu items are safe to eat. Chips are fried in a dedicated fryer, but not the corn tortillas for tacos. There is no gluten free menu. Table side guacamole is gluten free.
