Picked up a sandwich to bring to the waterfront to enjoy. I ordered the americano on gluten free bread. It was ok. I didn’t love the texture of the bread. For 18 bucks, I think it was overpriced but I was happy to have the option of gf.

Our favorite coffee house during our visit to SD! When I asked about any GF options in the bakery case, the barista excitedly named every item in the front row! She even explained which ones had nuts, almond flour, eggs, etc. extremely knowledgeable about each item. I had the egg tart on their house made pastry. She even noted that the oat milk they carry is not GF certified! I came back later for an iced oat milk latte and was fine, though I am not celiac. GREAT safety awareness and allergy awareness at this coffee shop!

When I said I was celiac they explained to me how they could keep my food away from any cutting boards or shared surfaces and my barista personally spoke to the cook and brought it out to me. I ordered the yogurt fruit and granola bowl. Im 24 hours out with no symptoms!

The food was delicious - tons of GF options and the coffee cannot be beat. This place is truly amazing and I adore coming here... BUT for the first time I tried their GF sandwiches and donuts, and I did get sick. The donuts, while GF, were in the same case as the regular baked goods. They make their own GF bread and it was very good, but I don’t know what controls against cross contamination they took when making them. I’ll come back for coffee, but I don’t think I’ll risk eating there again.

Questionable gluten free practices. French toast was tasty..but nothing out of the ordinary. It was a bit cold..and I couldn't sit indoors because they didn't have many tables, and of course, they were all taken. It would be nice if the had some sort of heaters for the patio on days like this. I was cold, eating food that should have been hot, but didn't have a chance. Also very crowded..and only one lady taking offers..inefficient. Won't return here.
Very helpful staff. Loved the ambiance! I ordered gf French toast and a latte with homemade almond milk - both were delicious!!
Yes
Panini's are made on the same press as regular gluten bread. Pastries are good though
