No gluten free menu. They use soy sauce in beef, chicken broth that may not be gluten free in rice. Chips are fried in same fryer with flour products. The safest dish I could get was grilled chicken or shrimp with whole beans and a salad with lemon and olive oil on side.

The food here is very good. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. He told me what dishes and sauces were safe, checked everything for me. My margarita was good too.

Arguably the best sit down Mexican restaurant in Escondido. All the GF items are clearly marked on the menu. The molcajete is my go-to, never disappointed. Margaritas are nothing to write home about, but the food is on point. I gambled on the chips and salsa on the first visit and definitely got glutinated by those. Next few visits I passed on those and didn’t have any reaction. House made corn tortillas are quite possibly as good as Craft and Taco’s

This is our go-to Mexican place in Escondido. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The tortilla chips are NOT gluten free. They are fried in the same fryer as the chimichangas and all the other flour stuff. The rice is also cross contaminated in the fryer. However, the fresh corn tortillas are great, the ranchero carne asada was really good, and the beans- best beans ever! I only wish I had rice to go with them, because the veggie substitute was blah.

Very knowledgeable about gluten free food and cross contamination. My son is celiac and they made his food in a completely different area. They even said it would make them feel better if they did that to make sure he was safe.
The staff was amazing, food was great and the owner came to the table to make sure everything was perfect. Lots of gf options available.

Great service and staff provided good recommendations. They don’t have a dedicated fryer so chips were not GF.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable and brought up contamination risk before I even asked myself! The menu is labeled with gluten free items and the rice and beans can be substituted for veggies and whole beans to ensure a celiac friendly meal. Plus, it was delicious!!

Staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac and menu was well marked. Unfortunately by dinner time they could not guarantee the chips were not cross contaminated, so my daughter with Celiac Disease could not have any.
Really great Mexican food; very knowledgable about gluten free/cross contamination concerns! Very happy with our first meal in California.
Love this place! The staff is awesome and knowledgeable and the food is wonderful. GF items are marked on the menu.
