We eat here all the time. I think they have great food here and I really appreciate the fact that they have a Chile relleno that I can eat! I thought the staff seemed very helpful as always.

Their online menu (not order site, see details below) has things clearly marked what can and can’t be gf. Lots of great options!
Ordering online through different sites though is a bit tricky. Some sites for pickup allow you to hit gluten free on items that aren’t in the menu marked as gf - not clear whether that means they can modify them or what. I went the default safe route and only got something (tamales) listed as gf on the main site menu. Delicious and no cross contamination issues. That being said we ended up doing through door dash (yet another order site) and they didn’t have the same GF order options although they did allow notes on the items.
So, be cognizant of details if ordering online. But yum for the food! (I give it an overall “4”/5 for safety due to the multiple online ordering options being so different and making it possible to accidentally order something not gf and getting confused).

I love that I can get beans and rice type of Mexican food here. Chips are fried before other items in the morning to avoid contamination. That said, not everyone seems to understand cross contamination or even what gluten is.

Staff seemed to have careless attitude even when informed of gluten allergy / celiac disease (stated several times when ordering). Family member got sick within an hour after eating here with gluten contamination symptoms.

I went once with my daughter. We ordered what we've ordered many times at the LuLu's in Menlo Park location, and this one was by far sub-par. Less flavor, bland, and very greasy food. Very disappointed it wasn't consistent quality like the Menlo Park (Alameda De Las Pulgas) location. We won't eat here again. Way too pricey for such low quality food. No reaction concerning gluten free issues (Celiac), and had it dairy free too.

Overpriced fast food. It was like a school cafeteria with entrees that cost 15 dollars. My husband is not a picky eater and thought it was awful. No repeat visit for us.
Ordered burrito bowl. Not spectacular , a liihle blah, had no veggies and not completely sure it was all GF. The gal at the counter was a little quiet. I might go back one day if I need a place with a friend but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list. Pricey for what is served.
This Lulu’s location is my default for Mexican food. I’ve never had an issue and have a few favorites that I get on an almost weekly basis. While they aren’t dedicated GF most of their menu is available to eat safely.

A GF burrito is a relative rarity. Lulu’s is pretty solid. Plenty of outdoor seating.

One of my go-to places for delivery orders. They know their stuff and mark my dish as the gf one in the order. Some of the meat options aren’t gf, so just ask before ordering and double check about how they’re cooking it that day (like can they keep it in a non cross contaminated part of the grill). I mostly eat vegetarian, so it’s a non-issue for me. They have gf chips made in a separate fryer. I love them!

GF menu items clearly marked, and many GF options beyond simple tacos on corn tortillas. Great food and service! My celiac partner was fine, and we both really enjoyed it.
