Review of Lupe Tortilla

I have eaten here many times and the food is always delicious; however, each time I have gone, I have been told something different. One time I was told they could make some GF chips by baking them; the next time, I was told they could not do so since the GF chips would get mixed with those that were not GF. Also, in the many times I have eaten here and expressed to the manager that I and my children were GF for medical reasons (not just a preference), we have always ordered rice and beans as our sides. However, yesterday I was told by a very knowledgeable server that the rice and beans were not, nor had they ever been , GF. I and my children are not Celiac, and we rarely experience symptoms that manifest themselves obviously and externally, so we didn't know. I will not be returning to this restaurant until the entire staff is properly trained and informed. For a great GF Mexican alternative, we will be at Aldaco's.
