I got the better Byrd fried chicken sandwhich that claims to be gluten free. When I ordered it the waiter came back to tell me they don’t have gluten free bread (they never do) and that should’ve been my first sign. I got the fried chicken with beans and rice and I was so so sick the entire next day. I have celiac but I never get sick eating out at restaurants that say there can be cross contamination. Do not eat here, they do not know what gluten free is!

Have things marked on their menu as gluten free that aren’t actually gluten free. We were told their croquetas were gluten free and double checked before we ate them. We then had someone come out, after we had eaten them, to let us know that the recipe had changed and the menu wasn’t updated to reflect that.

I wouldn't suggest that any celiacs eat here. I very much appreciated the honesty of the employees, but they said "if you have a serious allergy, I mean I guess I could ask them to be a little more cautious, but it's a kitchen, so there's lots of room for cross contamination." Although it wasn't the answer I was hoping for, I'd 100% rather someone be honest with me instead of lie and end up making me sick. That being said, for non-celiacs or anyone who cross contamination doesn't bother, there are lots of items marked as gluten free and my non-celiac friends have given this place great reviews.
