Nothing marked GF on menu, no GF bun options, flour tortilla chips, not knowledge about celiac.

There is nothing Celiac safe. Even the potato skins have wheat in them.

The food was terrible and the service was super slow. And while they do have a "gluten-free menu", it is mostly to tell you all the things you can't have which is basically everything. They don't even have a gluten- free bread choice... which in today's world I find hard to believe. I don't recommend and it is definitely NOT celiac friendly.
No
The food was good. The service wasn't. It took an hour and a half to get our meal. The gluten free menu may as well not have been. It's fine for a gluten intolerance, but for Celiacs, it's extremely limited. Depends on which Macado's you go to as to whether or not they have beer, and the dessert is just ice cream.
No
No GF bread for sandwiches, no dedicated fryer for tortilla chips or fries. However, they do have an informative GF menu and my waitress was very accommodating. Great salads and they will serve any of the sandwiches without bread. Also, now that they serve pre-packaged potato chips, you can see from the bag that they are safe to eat. As a lifelong Macados fan, I was very happy to see that I could still have some options there after my Celiac diagnosis!
I worked here for a few months years back. The only thing safe here for Celiac's are bags of chips and liquor! You can order a sandwich no bread and salads without but it's all cross contaminated. If you go just stick to the mid bar for some drinks

Gluten free bread is an option for sandwiches. This is not stated on the menu but was confirmed by a waitress when I asked. The gf bread for my sandwich was actually really good!

No GF menu. No service. We left without ordering.

I had been attempting to find a restaurant in Salem VA to have lunch. Tripadvisor had given Macado's a good rating. I will say that the waitress was extremely helpful and my sandwich was good. Do not expect a gluten free menu. They do not have one. I ordered a Bonnie and Clyde. I came on gluten free bread, but no barbecue sauce. It was good, but I missed the sauce. I appreciated that they did review the ingredients. I would have known had they had a gluten free menu.
