Review of Macondo

We headed here based on a recommendation from the lovely coeliac owner at Jute Bakerei (see separate entry here on FMGF). She explained that it is Colombian and completely gluten free, though unhelpfully the restaurant itself doesn't actually seem to advertise this. We weren't entirely confident but nevertheless we took the plunge and had a fabulous meal, sat outside on their terrace facing the setting sun, opposite the lively Boxhagener Platz. My coeliac daughter suffered no ill effects whatsoever despite eating a bit of everything so we would definitely recommend this place.
