Mad River Barn

I like this place abd think it’s a great spot for family fun and drinks. The staff though needs to get it together. Ordered specific gf dishes. They all came out with different substitutions abd finally the Chef realized they were served with gluten. Huge mix up in kitchen. Good food, just make sure there isn’t a wedding or the server isn’t in the weeds. Needs better informed servers overall.

I think the other reviews may be out of date. The fryalator ISN'T gluten free, so no gluten free fries, which was one of my reasons for going there. There ARE a few items on the menu that are marked as 'GF,' but not much for variety (outside of salad). No gluten free buns for burgers. I had steak friats with mashed and it was good but, I most likely wouldn't go again.

This is a great family restaurant and kids will love the food as will adults. They are very knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac disease. On the menu, they clearly point out which options are gluten free. The fries are made in a strainer and oil that only is used for the fries, therefore gluten free. Definitely recommend the steak tips and fries. This restaurant has great food, though not as many gluten free options for younger kids. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this restaurant.
