Maddogs Grill

We stopped through on our way home from the beach based on reviews on this app and after calling to speak to a manager. I was hesitant, but they were very accommodating by showing the ingredients in the hot dog and knowing to do a glove change. I asked that they grill the hot dog on foil. There were fried options too, and things were clearly marked.

I did call the manufacturer on the hot dogs to confirm they were GF and they were. I looked up the ketchup and it was wheat free, but didn’t say gluten free so we passed on using ketchup.

If you’re traveling nearby, I would go again! They said the owner was GF.

I had the fried chicken and fried green tomatoes and fries. Loved it. I live in Florida but stopped here cause I have family in the area. Next time I’m up here I will go there again

OUtanding!! Many gf options, staff well versed in gr, chips made in a dedicated fryer. Excellent service. And the gf fried green tomatoes 💗💗

Go! Owner is GF and has tons of options like buns for burgers, breaded chicken tenders, tater tots and more! Super sweet servers and a nice stop on our drive to the beach.

Great food, fully aware of what GF food is. If you order the fries ask them to use fresh oil or you may get glutend. Go early or you will wait an hour or more unless you order a steak.. From our experience only large ticket items are cooked and served first. It will be a while before we go back after last few times...not a good experience. Shame we spent lots of money there.

Un-freaking-believable. If you are anywhere in the general vicinity of Clanton AL, you have to go to Maddogs. I inhaled the GF fried pickles appetizer, got a hot dog with a GF bun, fries, AND sprung for the GF fried mushrooms just for kicks. They have a dedicated GF fryer. The waitress was super nice & accomodating, especially when she realized I was a northerner & ready to splurge on GF fried southern food. Highly highly recommend this gem!

Staff was very knowledgeable regarding gluten free options. Spoke with the owner who indicated most items on the menu were available gluten free. They even had gf green fried tomatoes! They were fabulous!!

Fantastic gluten free option! They say basically anything on the menu can be made gluten free. They even have gluten free fried pickles! They have a dedicated fryer and gluten free hamburger/hot dog buns.
