Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about celiac. The sandwich bun was swapped for arepas (which were delicious) and came specially wrapped to reduce cross contact.

I love Maize and Barley! The majority of the menu is gluten free and they can substitute a gluten sandwich bun for a corn arepa which are homemade and amazing!

I have eaten there twice and the sandwich on arepa was delicious both times! I have celiac and haven’t gotten sick. The staff are kind and friendly. Sweet little spot. Highly recommend!

The Ropa Vieja sandwich on the GF corn cake was so amazing! Flavorful and so tender. The vegan GF coconut custard was the perfect dessert. Can’t wait to go back!
