Comfort food, much f it available GF. I emailed ahead and was informed that they use very little gluten in the kitchen and all desserts at that time were GF. They advise to mention celiac when ordering.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Nearly everything on the menu is gluten free, and it all tastes like heaven. I had the lamb shank, the bacon mashed potatoes, and the sticky toffee pudding. (06/23)

Food was delicious and staff were very helpful. I told them I had CD and they reassured me that everything I ordered was gluten free and the kitchen was informed to prevent any cross contamination. My partner had ordered the haggis and they came down to make sure I knew it contained gluten. Very impressed and would definitely return again.

Amazing Scottish food. Menu is clearly marked with many GF options. I had the gammon with olive oil mash (df) and my husband had the beef with cheddar and chives mash. I wanted to try the GF sticky toffee pudding, but I was stuffed! A must when you are in Edinburgh!

I ended up at the walk-in only spot as the other was booked. I was on my own and they have a little area in the window for single diners and a spot opened quickly so didn’t have the 30’ wait I heard others given. Food was delicious, they were very helpful about identifying gf items on the menu which were or could be made gf, service was quick and friendly. I recommend highly if you love mashed potatoes!

Wow what can I say about this little gem of a place, menu is marked with what can be made gluten free, just tell your server, I got the gammon and bacon with spring onion mash, I want to move to Edinburgh so I can eat in here more, definitely book a table as it’s super popular, my sister got the beef shoulder which can also be done gluten free, both meals amazing.

Told us we had to wait 30’ for our table and receive a message 10’ later saying it was available. One of the best meals I had in Edinburgh

We ran into this restaurant, looked it up on the Find Me Gluten app, and felt it was safe, plus the reviews were great. The host told us there would be a 45-minute wait, but then he managed to slip us in as long as we stayed no more than an hour. The service was great, so that wasn't a problem. Both the host and our waiter were fabulous! And the food was the finest we've had. My husband had the chicken with rumbledethumps, which he thought was amazing. I am not gluten- free and wanted to try haggis. I'm sorry to report that haggis is not gf bc it was delicious! We only wish we had room for the sticky toffee pudding. The diners next to us said it was brilliant. It was also gluten-free, so I'm kicking myself that we didn't try it.

Amazing!! The food was so good and filling. The sticky toffee pudding is an absolute must!! Absolutely delicious! It’s a locally owned restaurant that depends on the support of customers. A definite visit when in Edinburg!!

Items on the menu are clearly marked if there’s a gluten free option. The menu states that they don’t have a separate kitchen or utensils but they do their best and clean and use different equipment to prepare gluten free. I had the boar sausage with onions and cheese/chive mash. I would eat here again.

Quote from the owner “if a place doesn’t sell GF sausage, it’s low quality sausage.” Seriously awesome experience and the food is great. Tons of options. If you are in Edinburgh for a trip GO HERE.

The staff was helpful and knowledgeable about celiac. They aren’t 100% free of cross contamination, but they do their best by cleaning and wiping down the utensils and cooking areas. Food was really good and didn’t get glutened

There is a wide variety of gf options marked on the regular menu. We chose the gammon, duck confit and beef skirt. You choose one of about 10 types of mashed potatoes to go with the meat choice. We also had a house salad. It was delicious as well. Highly recommend!
