Makus Empanadas

My husband has pretty sensitive Celiac disease. We bought a package of the frozen GF empanadas, took them home, made sure they were marked "GF", and baked them in our GF kitchen, and two hours after eating he was violently ill. These are definitely not Celiac-friendly and not worth the risk to ever go back.

Delicious GF empanadas! You have to bake them at home but it’s so worth it. My kids loved the pepperoni and bacon/cheese especially!

GF IS AVAILABLE ONLY FOR FROZEN EMPANADAS!! That said the gf empanadas are absolutely fantastic for gf persons and muggles. They do not serve at the restaurant as there is only one oven.

Im a very sensitive celiac. I definitely was cross contaminated by this restaurant. There is no way to know if it was from the empanadas, sauce or beans and rice.

Me and my brother both have celiac. I have a rather mild reaction but my brother gets violently ill. He threw up 2:30 hours after eating, which is always what happens when he eats gluten. The food was good, but I would not recommend it to anyone with celiac or an allergy.

The BEST and ONLY place in the area to offer gluten free empanadas. I am from Argentina and grew up eating empanadas, I was so upset when I was diagnosed with celiac disease. Having the option to get one of my favorite foods, made me extremely happy! Thank you Makus for making this happen, not just for me, but for all those out there that suffer from the same condition as me! I strongly recommend Makus for your gluten free empanadas! Spinach is my favorite!

My one and only place for gluten free empanadas! The staff is super nice and the empanadas are delicioso! My favorite is the spinach and cheese. Savory with a flaky crust. You can't go wrong with any of their combinations. A Sunday staple in our house for sure.

I am celiac and I am really sensitive to gluten, I have tried the gluten free empanadas from Makus and not only they are delicious but also I didn’t had any allergic reaction. as sensitive as I am to gluten, I would totally recommend this place for any person doing a gluten free diet and also people with celiac.

GF empanadas are available for online ordering the day before for baking at home. The owners and staff offer the GF empanadas in this way in order to try to avoid cross contamination. Taste of the dough and fillings is excellent. Pork chimichurri is my favorite but my family and I like them all. Chipa bread is also GF and great and is available for bake at home similarly to the empanadas.

Great empanadas. Bought the GF empanadas (to bake at home) for my celiac son and we all loved them. Empanadas are sold frozen to avoid any possibility of cross contamination.
