Malhi's Indian Cuisine

Because of the previous review I was very cautious about what I ordered here. Since I was worried about a reaction. I had Simla mushroom (sautéed veggies) and rice with no reaction. I am also lactose intolerant and I had the tea which is a milk tea with spices that was delicious and didn’t upset my stomach. This was the Mahlis in Lancaster CA I can’t speak for the one in Palmdale.

We asked our server about gluten free options and she said that all of the main dishes are gluten free and she could substitute the lentil soup and naan bread with gluten free alternatives. My daughter and son have celiac and I am gluten sensitive. Within an hour, which is the typical time frame, my daughter vomited multiple times, my son has a really bad headache and stomachache, and I have a stomachache. I went over my concerns with the waitress regarding flour, wheat, barley, etc. and she assured me that there was nothing in the food. I even asked her to double check with the kitchen staff. Obviously she was mistaken or did not understand. If you are not affected by gluten, the food was good. If you are affected, stay far away from this restaurant.
