I spoke to the manager when I arrived. They had a few options that were marked gluten free on the menu. The manager let mw know that they source gluten free corn tortillas for these dishes and do not warm the tortillas with the house made corn or flour tortillas. The only Gf sides available were black beans and cilantro lime rice. No dedicated frier and the chips are made offsite so they cannot verify the chips are GF.
I ordered the enchiladas with tomatillo salsa. They were very good and the mexican martini was great! I felt safe here. Limited options, but very good.
Edit: I went back again and ordered the same dish. Explained to the waiter that I needed the cooks to change gloves and avoid cross contamination. My meal came out with sides that were not gluten free. The waiter noticed immediately and took the plate back to the kitchen. He brought it back with the correct sides, but when moving the food around I noticed that they had merely re-plated the original food now with the gluten free sides. All contaminated. I told the manager about it and he had the dish re-made from scratch. When I pointed out that the default sides for the “gluten free” dish were not gluten free, he acknowledged that they had several similar mistakes on their menu and that they are working to correct them. I no longer feel safe eating here.
