I used to come here all the time. Visited on 2/10/24: they told me they have a new chef, new menu, bread is cooked on all of their cooking surfaces, and nothing is safe from cross contamination. They told me nothing on the menu is safe, not even the salads, for celiac. So sad that this isn’t a safe place anymore, this place used to be awesome :(

Really really tasty!! Staff was friendly and the food came out labeled “gluten allergy.”

Most of their menu can be GF. Chicken and most of their sauces, and a number of their sides are good to go. Yummy! Staff were knowledgeable about celiac/gf.

Mama Bird serves some truly amazing roast chicken and a good variety of sides and sauces. The food is simple but super flavorful, and it’s has become a favorite of mine for slightly upscale comfort food nights. I’m sensitive to cross contamination, have ordered from them probably 15 times and have never had an issue. The chicken, sweet potatoes, roast potatoes, vadouvan curry sauce, miso sauce, and gf miso brownies are all reliable winners.

One note of caution, their menu online and in delivery apps doesn’t do a great job of showing what is gluten free currently. I had heard rumor it was dedicated gf so the first time I ordered I called ahead and asked if that was the case, and the staff member I spoke to on the phone mistakenly confirmed it was a dedicated gf restaurant. Everything I ordered ended up being gf (and delicious), however I’ve since discovered it is def not a dedicated gf place and some menu items include gluten (a couple of the salads do at minimum). I typically get delivery so now I just make sure I mention Celiac in order notes as an added layer of caution. That said, I suspect the kitchen is knowledgeable and I consider this one of my go to safe spots since I’ve had many delicious meals from here without issue.
