Didn’t seem to have any understanding of what gluten free is. From management on down. Probably the only safe thing is chips and salsa

Staff didn’t seem like they wanted me to eat here. I called before and they said they had options but my waiter looked at me like I was crazy. I had to insist on them asking if anything was GF. They came back with a few options but nothing sounded good, mainly vegetarian options. The other reviews are misleading. The kitchen said none of the options listed on this site were gluten free. That alone makes anyone with an allergy feel unsafe. Their corporate office really needs to consider training their wait staff.
We left without ordering and I wouldn’t return to this or any location of theirs.

Love love love Manny’s. They are very helpful and have no issues with substitutions. I’ve never had a problem here and we eat here at least once a week. Their fish is really fantastic.
We eat here once a week and have had no problems. After asking the right questions of the right people, we learned that the chips are fried in separate fryer and the cilantro-lime white rice is GF (not the Mexican rice) and the black beans are GF. Refried beans are made using the lard, which is used for other things so not completely GF but likely just trace amounts.

Hey just wanted to let you all know that I just got off the phone with corporate at Manny's Uptown Tex-Mex and they have ALOT of gluten free stuff. Chips, fajitas, enchiladas, chili con carne is all GF. They use corn starch where most places use flour. If you are getting tacos the meat is ok, but if you are getting a crispy shell, she said you need to ask them to cook a fresh shell in the chip fryer which they should be able to do. She said there is no CC between their preparation of corn and flour tortillas. I went there last week and felt just fine afterwards, but contacted them just to double check. Just thought I'd let everyone know. If they are really going to this effort they deserve our support! There are several around the DFW Metroplex. To the previous reviewer, I referenced your story and she apologized and said someone on the staff was greatly mistaken on information about their efforts they go through to serve gluten free food.
Staff is so rude and said they had no gluten free. Told me I was “taking a risk” by eating there
