Review of Mateo

I think as long as you do some legwork beforehand, Mateo is a perfectly OK place to eat if you can't have gluten. A friend of mine had her 30th birthday dinner here over the weekend and I called the manager in advance to discuss my needs and have it noted on the reservation. Our server was wonderful, showed me which menu options she was pretty confident were totally GF, and then came back when she found out she was mistaken about one item. I was really impressed with the care she took and I had a great dinner. The "Arroz Frito" and "Queso Frito Y Huevo" were both delicious and I had no issues after the meal.
