Maudie’s Too has a really nice outdoor patio. On a hot summer day the breeze blowing through was really nice, but the noise from the cars was a bit much. I am a celiac and had read the previous reviews on here. When we went, I asked right away for gluten free chips and we got them. We ordered the appetizer trio and enjoyed the thin and crispy chips that come out in a plastic bag that you open and pour into a bowl yourself, which was nice. Queso was a little cold, guac was spicy, and “spicy” bean dip was a bit bland. I am the kind of person who just enjoys all food, so still a 3 stars. I ordered the veggie fajitas. They did not come out on the steaming tray as usual :/ but the mushrooms and onions were exceptional. Also came with a plate of delicious fresh tomato salsa (definitely a highlight) and other taco toppings. The real highlight was the tortillas that were white corn and the best corn tortillas I’ve ever had. I even double checked with our server when I saw them because I figured they had to be wheat. But they were corn, and so soft and delicious. I enjoyed the fajitas overall, friend got cheese enchiladas and both were a solid 4 stars. Overall comments: waiter was a little brusque, kind of a hit or miss, but was helpful and did answer all questions I asked. I felt safe, or else I would have left. Food was good and I didn’t get sick. Definitely worth a try.
