Review of Maui Brewing Co.

Overall not a good experience; however, I would like people to know that they DO have a cauliflower crust available for their pizzas that is supposedly gluten-free. And, that crust was delicious! I don’t know if we can trust the prep in terms of cross-contamination. Also, the cauliflower crust is not marked gluten-free on the menu, yet all the waitstaff say it certainly is gluten-free. I don’t know what to make of that. Also, I was super annoyed by their menu label “gluten sensitive”. I asked the server what this meant, but got no explanation. After a very frustrating circular conversation in which I was repeatedly told “it means it’s gluten sensitive”, I was ultimately able to decipher that it means it has gluten-free ingredients but is fried in gluten-contaminated oil. So, the fries, being “gluten sensitive“, are cross contaminated. Why they bother even putting this on the menu when they don’t even label the gluten-free pizza crust as gluten-free, I just don’t understand. But the message comes through that they really don’t care about people that need gluten-free, unfortunately.
