Amazing empanadas! 100% gluten free / safe. I ended up going twice in one day. Definitely support this place if you’re in town.

Amazing fresh taste! Dedicated gluten free and so many options. Fried fresh to order so just s short wait. Nice service and close walking distance to bars as well as the Tropicana. Be warned the guava cheese one is made with mozzarella not cream cheese. It threw me off guard since I'm used to cuban style. Also the vegan empanadas are fried in a shared frier so just FYI

Food is fried but everything is gluten free. Empanadas are small; fries are large order. So get fries with your order. Owner of trucks is very nice and polite. Recommend place highly.

IMPORTANT: Truck is located in the parking lot for Ferg’s sports bar.

i really recommend! we got takeout and it will still delicious after driving in the car. all the empanadas i had were good and quite filling. more of a deep fried crunchy empanada rather than the soft ones, but still very good!

The facility only serves gluten free food, so there is no risk of cross contamination. They are true Colombian empanadas with a few unique fillings. The enployee(who seems to be the owner) was very knowledgeable and willing to talk about how he makes his food. The food was hot, fresh, super delicious and served with a super hospitable smile!

Delicious!! Dedicated GF food truck- they use corn for the empanadas. I got the Buffalo chicken and it was so good! Didn’t get sick either!

Was so happy to find this GF option before a Rays game. I reached out in advance to ask if the food was safe for our Celiac daughter and received an immediate response that the entire food truck was GF. Our daughter loved the cheese empanada and fries, which she loved.

Maxi's is a food truck, open Thursday through Sunday, and during days when the Tampa Bay Rays have home games They serve different kinds of empanadas, made from scratch, Columbian style. Everything is 100% gluten free, including the macaroni and cheese filled. They are excellent. The food truck parks at the corner of Central and 13th Street, in the parking lot of Ferg's Sports Bar, literally in the shadow of Tropicana Field (where the Rays play).

If you're looking for a gluten free quick snack or light meal, I recommend it highly. They have a couple of tables with umbrellas on the sidewalk.
