Maxi's Restaurant

We had a mixed experience at Maxi’s. We asked if the home fries were GF and they said no (shared fryer), so we ordered a fruit cup instead. When the plate with GF toast came out, the toast was on top of the home fries, so we sent the plate back. They remade the plate for us without home fries.

Also, the online menu indicated GF pancakes but the menu in the restaurant didn’t.

They have gluten-free bread for toast, and will take reasonable efforts to make sure eggs etc. are not cross contaminated. Waitress asked if I wanted her to butter my toast, or if I wanted packaged butter on the side. Home fries go into the fryer and are therefore not safe. Although I was disappointed about the home fries, the veggie omelette with some hollandaise sauce on top was very very delicious.

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Not a dedicated GF place, but they do offer GF bread and rolls for toast and sandwiches. I had GF toast and did not have a contamination reaction.

Can do gluten free French toast and pancakes. Ate here twice recently and didn’t get sick.
