They were so great, good GF menu, no issues after and delicious food with amazing atmosphere

My family and I went here last night for dinner. My 7 yr old and I both have celiac disease and wanted to have at least one dinner experience while here. She had a cheeseburger and I had a chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon and we also had mash potatoes as a side. They have a nice size gf menu! The waitress seemed to understand my questions and said she would speak with the head chef before they made our dinner. They put some waffle thing in the mash potatoes to look fancy and when my daughters plate came, it was in her mashed potatoes. As soon as the waitress put the plate down she said this is not gf and what would you like me to do. I asked for a new plate for the cheeseburger and a fresh scoop of mashed potatoes and she was happy to do it. The food was decent but service was excellent. Nether of us got sick and we will eat here again:)

This was our first visit to Maxwell's in several years. There is now a GF menu (there was not in the past) with several decent options. After we ordered, the waiter asked if it was for a celiac (yes!) which was a nice surprise. Only downside is the pasta was a weird texture, but it did taste good.

They have Udi’s buns that was still in the plastic when my order arrived. I ordered a Turkey Club and it was very good. They have no gluten free menu but the waitress was very helpful. I had no problems after ordering this and kettle chips. Very nice lunch!

They don’t have a dedicated gluten free menu yet but the owner said they are working on it. He went through the menu with me guiding me through my options. They have a rigatoni pasta that is delicious! I have also had a cheeseburger with a gluten free bun that comes out still in the bag to avoid cross contamination. I have also ordered to-go and my to-go box was specifically marked as an allergy! Would recommend!

Have gf buns and gf pasta. Got the turkey club on a gf bun and they brought out the warmed bun still in the little Udi's bag to prevent cross contamination. Very good! Would come back :)

Great relaxed dining outside, nicer setting outside right on the water of West Okoboji lake. They offer as a regular kids' menu option - GF mac and cheese - homemade with GF rice penne. Was very pleased with discussing cross contamination issues. And all kid's entrees get served on a frisbee. My 6 yr old was thrilled!
