Maya Thai Laos Restaurant

We saw Kathys review and decided to try our luck. We live near El Sobrante and haven't had the best of luck with other Thai restaurants in the area. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and understanding of cross contamination. After taking my order, she went to the back to talk to the chef. We loved every dish and my wife (celiacs) had no 'funny' feelings afterwards. This is now our closest favorite thai restaurant. Our next closest favorite is in old downtown San Rafael. Both of these restaurants took really good care of us and understood our fear :) We will definitely be back. We ordered to go, but while waiting i noticed how charming the decor is. Next time we will dine inside. It's very pretty. Ample free parking too in lot. Two thumbs up :)

Our server was knowledgeable about gluten-free dishes and assured me my pumpkin curry would be prepared gluten-free. My meal was delivered first and announced as “gluten-free.” Delicious food and no reaction afterwards.
